if ONLY I’d realised these sooner!! EXPLANATIONS⬇️ 💆🏼‍♀️ CLEANSING AFTER SHAMPOOING Getting shampoo or conditioner (especially if it’s pore-clogging) around your hairline & on your body and not cleansing it off is a sure way to break out! So switch the order around! 😅SWEAT EVERY DAY People with acne are so scared of sweating, but that’s keeping toxins in your body! Make sure to keep sweating to eliminate toxins, so your liver doesn’t get overwhelmed! And use hypochlorous acid if you can’t wash your face straight away! 🧂CINNAMON Cinnamon is an anti-inflammatory herb! It relieves heavy period flow & pain, helps regulate blood sugar levels, is antibacterial, and is an antioxidant. 🧴 AZELAIC ACIDu2028For treating acne, I LOVE azelaic acid as it’s incredible for sensitive skin (it’s not technically an exfoliating acid, so it’s very gentle). 🥣HIGH PROTEIN MEALS I aim for 20-30g per meal (most important in the morning). Protein helps regulate blood sugar as it reduces glucose spikesu002F crashes. 💆🏼 NERVOUS SYSTEM REGULATION Unhealthy stress levels drive inflammation in the body, showing in intolerances, acne, gut issues etc. Ways to regulate nervous system: take 3 deep breaths before eating, grounding, EFT, meditation, journalling, finish your shower on cold, etc (I have dedicated posts on this). 💤 WAKE UP AT THE SAME TIME Sleep is the most important thing to help relieve inflammation. Try to wake up & go to sleep around the same time to create a consistent sleep schedule! And use earplugs to reduce disruption! ☀️ SPF 365 DAYSu002FYEAR You need to wear SPF to not only protect your skin but to prevent scarring & hyperpigmentation. Make sure you get a non-comedogenic one
